1985 runs Mile High Marathon, Denver

1985 becomes guitar professor, University of New Mexico, works on español, learns to love chile verde

1986 Studies with Segovia at USC in Los Angeles

1990 wins Silver Medal, Concurso Internacional Alirio Diaz, Caracas, Venezuela

1992 wins second National Endowment for the Arts Solo Recitalist Fellowship

1992 Sonata Romantica CD, Newport Classics is released

1994 Romantic Guitar and Guitar by Moonlight CDs are released by Time-Life Music

1998 finishes and releases Land of Enchantment CD , 10 original songs about New Mexico, starts tweaking and re-recording, pleeeeeeaaaaaasssse just release it Miguel!!!!! it's done!!!!!!!!! REALLY>JUST RELEASE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

1999 plays on Murial Anderson's All Star Guitar Night at the NAMM show in LA. BIG SOUND SYSTEM, BIG FUN. Swears off playing un-amplified and begins the quest for the perfect pick-up system

February 1999 Cactus Cafe, Austin, plays first club date since high school with people drinking, smiling, holding hands, having fun and clapping whenever they want and having a real good time. "Yo Toto, I think were not in Kansas anymore"

February 1999 plays first improvised tunes in public since 1974, after sudden invitation from Murial Anderson to jam with her on stage at the end of her concert in Albuquerque

February 1999 gives first performance with a steel string guitar on the Taylor Showcase at the National Folk Alliance Conference

March 1999 learns that Romantic Guitar and Guitar by Moonlight are now being sold in Walgreens drug stores.............."Sweet"
